AutoCAD 2014 for the Mac

Any of you guys got a Mac and were patiently waiting for the latest version of AutoCAD to arrive on it? Yeah? Well wait no longer, it’s now available. Check out the video below, or just keep reading to see what’s new.

Apart from supporting Apples Retina Display, what else can you expect? Well, try these on for size:

  • Package Drawing (the functional equivalent of eTransmit on Windows): allows you to neatly (and quickly!) pack up all the files related to your drawing and distribute to anyone involved in your project.
  • Autodesk 360 Sync: directly access files from Autodesk 360 and synchronize them between your computer and the cloud.
  • Improved Welcome Experience: easy file management and access to tools that help you solve problems.
  • Improved Help System: we’ve made major changes to help you more easily find the assistance you need.

Apparently there have been tweaks to the UI and fixes for bugs that annoyed the hell out of you in AutoCAD 2013 for the Mac. Read all about it here.

So,is it any good? Was it worth the wait? I’ve no idea to be honest, I don’t own a Mac. I’m not sure, but I think I might be allergic to them!
