If you get out before September....

Every now and then a band comes along that just rock your world, bands you would go and see at the drop of a hat, bands that just put you in a good mood. Sometimes these bands make it on a world wide stage, U2 and Pearl Jam spring to mind. Other times they are never heard of outside of Ireland, stand up and be counted Something Happens and The Stunning. The one thing they have in common is that they stir you to the core.

Today I heard the sad news that one of my all time favourite bands, The Bluetones, are to split in September. The Bluetones never really hit the heady heights of their Brit Pop contemporaries Oasis and Blur, but in this writers opinion, were far superior to both in all departments. They never got involved with stupid slagging matches a la Damon Albarn and the Gallagher brothers, they just got on with releasing great albums and playing fantastic live shows.

So, in honour of this great band calling it a day, I decided that my international audience should get to enjoy this brilliant 4 piece from London. I hope you enjoy these tracks as much as I do!
